88 percent of Ulster residents believe that breathing secondhand smoke is harmful to one’s health, with 63% saying it is very harmful

75 percent of Ulster residents, including a majority of smokers, would at least restrict smoking in parks

74 percent of Ulster residents support restricting or prohibiting smoking at parks and beaches

72 percent of support banning or restricting smoking on beaches

42 percent think such restrictions should apply to grocery stores

63 percent Ulster County residents see breathing secondhand smoke as very harmful to one’s health. Another 25% see it as somewhat harmful, for an overall 88% believing that secondhand smoke is harmful to one’s health.

78 percent would like to see storeowners voluntarily decrease the number of tobacco ads in their stores.
